Carlos Martins will perform in the Cultural Centre of Paredes de Coura in the North of Portugal on Saturday, 15 October, 23h with his trio
(Carlos Martins – tenor sax, Carlos Barretto – double bass, Bruno Pedroso – drums).
After that he will be heading to Poland as the opening act for the PalmJazz Festival in Gliwice, performing on October 18th at 19h with his Quartet
(Carlos Martins – tenor sax, Carlos Barretto – double bass, Mário Delgado – guitar, Alexandre Frazão – drums).

On April 15 Carlos Martins will perform as the opening act of concert program at the 2016 edition of the Kriol Jazz Festival in Praia, Cabo Verde. He will be on stage with his quartet as well as two very special guests from Cabo Verde, singer Jennifer Solidade and piano player Khaly Angel.

The musician and composer invokes the beauty of his roots, from Alentejo in the south of Portugal to the city of Lisbon where he lives today, citing his Mediterranean, Arab and African influences and celebrating love and friendship.
Following the highly acclaimed album “Absence”, Carlos Martins’ new record could not bear any other name than his own.
“Carlos Martins” will be launched on February 12th 2016 at Culturgest in Lisbon.
